The listings

Every home comes from a Japanese town's akiya bank or a prefecture's akiya portal. We copy the facts as published and translate them, but towns change or withdraw listings without notice and translations can be wrong. Check every detail with the town before you rely on it. We are not an estate agent and give no advice on whether to buy.

The lifetime unlock

$29, paid once through Lemon Squeezy, unlocks the paid features for as long as the site runs, on up to three devices at a time, signed in with the same email; signing in on a fourth signs out the oldest. If it isn't for you, ask within 14 days for a full refund. Letters and reply translations have a fair-use limit of 15 letters and 30 translations a month.

Letters to towns

Letters are drafts written by software from what you enter. Read the English copy before you send one: you send it from your own email, and what it says is yours.

Photos are shown from the akiya bank's own site, and all rights remain with their owners. To have a photo or listing removed, write to hello@akiyaforsale.com.
